The membership of the association is open to any person interested in the field of entomology who has attained the age of maturity and fulfils the terms and conditions of the association.
Four types of membership are recognized
Ordinary Membership
Open to all persons (Professors/Scientists/Doctors, including research scholars pursuing doctoral degree), interested in entomology, on application to the Secretary or to the President, but invariably ratified by the President in case of the former.Student Membership
Open to all graduate/post-graduate students from universities/colleges, medical colleges, IITs etc., subject to production of a certificate to their bonafide status from respective Principal/Head of the institution.Life Membership
Open to all persons interested in the science of entomology, on application to the Secretary or to the President, but invariably ratified by the President in case of the former.Institutional Membership
Open to all professional institutional libraries/museums.The various membership fee structures for different categories will be as follows:

What is Entomology?
Insect species outnumber all other life forms combined. Although less than 5% are pests, they consume about 20% of the world's crops. Throughout history, insects have killed more people than war. Fortunately, many more species of insects are beneficial, helping to control pests and recycle nutrients.
